Terms and Conditions

Motorcycling is a fun and enjoyable activity, but it is not without inherent risk of serious injury or death. Taking part in MotoFox Rider Experiences (MotoFox) activities is entirely voluntary and you do so at your own risk. MotoFox is not liable for any injury, illness or losses while taking part in the activity.

MotoFox Rider Experiences take place on the public road therefore all participants must follow The Highway Code; your participation can be ended at any time without refund for breaching The Highway Code. MotoFox Rider Experiences are not competitive and no racing or reckless riding is permitted; your participation can be ended at any time without refund if your riding is judged to be dangerous.

Payment:
  • Full payment is required to secure your booking. Until full payment is received the booking is not confirmed.

  • Cancellation: 10 days prior to the event you may cancel at any time and a refund will be given less 10% of the original fee or you may rearrange to another date for no additional fee. If your cancellation is within 10 days of the event then no refund or rearrangements are available.​ Multi Day Adventures will have a further £60 deducted from the booking if cancelled less than a month before the trip. Any adventure that involves overseas travel will have £100 deposit which is non refundable taken at the point of booking.

The Participant:
  • All riders must complete individual booking forms.

  • You must be fit enough in body and mind to participate in the activity. Please declare any health conditions, allergies or medications on the registration form. If applicable please carry any medication you may need to during the activity, please let you guide know where it is should it be needed during the activity.

  • Water - You must carry water with you during the activity, especially during hot days we recommend a minimum of 2 litres.

  • PPE: The following Items of PPE are mandatory and you may not be permitted to join the experience without wearing the following Items:

    • An ECE 22.05 or ECE 22.06 rated motorcycle helmet

    • Sturdy motorcycle clothing with armour at the shoulders, elbows and knees. MotoFox also recommends back and hip armour.

    • Suitable protective gloves.

    • Clothing suitable for the prevailing weather.

The Motorcycle:
  • Your motorcycle must be in a roadworthy state, Insured, taxed and have a valid MOT certificate.

  • All participants must hold the correct license for the machine they are riding and have suitable insurance to take part in the activity. You may be asked to present evidence of this before participating.

Bike hire
  • You must be over the age of 25 to hire a motorcycle from MotoFox.

  • You must hold either a Category A2 or a Full Category A Motorcycle license. Riders from outside the UK/ EU must have a full license in their home country. 

  • If Hiring a Motorcycle from MotoFox you must bring with you both you driving license and a license summary (dated no more than 21 days before the activity), you can obtain a license summary here. International licenses do not have to bring a license summary.

  • You are not permitted to ride a MotoFox motorcycle with out supervision from a MotoFox Guide.

  • Prior to the experience MotoFox will take a balance of £500 from a debit or credit card, this will be used to pay for any damage or loss of income that may occur to the Motorcycle beyond wear and tear particularly if this caused by rider negligence. This will be refunded at the end of the day should the bike be returned in the same condition it was hired in. Please make sure you have a payment method with enough balance prior to arrival.

  • You will be given the opportunity to inspect the motorcycle before use please draw any defects to your guide/ instructor.

  • You must obey the highway code at all times when on a MotoFox rider experience any penalty points picked up whilst riding a MotoFox machine will be passed on the rider.

  • If your riding ability is not deemed up to standard by our guide you may find your ride terminated with out refund.

  • If your riding is deemed dangerous, illegal or antisocial buy the guide then your ride may terminated without refund.

  • You must be of physical stature and ability to ride a Motorcycle with a seat height of 920mm to hire a MotoFox Voge 300 Rally.

The Activity:

During the activity the group will stay together should any incidents happen during the ride please stay with the group. The activity will only resume once the incident has been dealt with.

MotoFox guides/instructors are not mechanics, please make sure you are equipped to make basic roadside repairs and have an appropriate level of breakdown cover should your bike need to be recovered.

Please note MotoFox Trips are minimalist adventures, Unless specified there is no mechanic or support vehicle. In the event of a an incident which cannot be resolved on your own machine, we will evacuate you a place of safe refuge where you can make you own arrangements for onward transport or return you to base if convenient. Once there you will need to make your own arrangements for repair/ rescue.

All MotoFox Experiences will have a pre-ride briefing late arrivals who miss this will not be permitted to join the activity.

Media:

During the event MotoFox reserves the right to take photos or video that may be used for promotional activities in the public domain. By participating in the event you agree to waive any image rights and agree to photos and videos that may include yourself being shared in the public domain.
