About the event

The MotoFox Wessex weekender is a 2 day motorcycle safari for those with a sense of adventure it has been designed Trail and Adventure Motorcycles. Starting on the edge of Bristol we head south across somerset towards the Dorset Coast we return on a different route. The trails are mainly open and flowing tracks with the odd challenge thrown in . Please make sure you are happy with the terms and conditions before booking. Here's a video to show you what you're in for, it was filmed on on the more advanced route designed for enduro and trail bikes but many of the same tracks are used.

Meet at Warmley Shipping Containers at 8am, with a full tank of fuel. Ride brief at 8:15 (Arrival after briefing has started may result in not being able to join the ride without refund.) I expect to be back at approximately 6pm the following day. The access to our unit is between 109a and 111 Tower Road South, if you are looking for a place to park a car or van there is limited parking near the unit, please do not block access to any of the other units alternatively there is on street parking on Tower Road South or Park Road.

Overnight accomodation is shared rooms of 2 in a Tradional Country  Pub (that has all the design quirks that go with it) with breakfast included. There is parking on site, Please bring locks and appropriate security devices with you as parking is unsecured. If you would like a private room please contact MotoFox to see if arrangements can be made.

Who this is for: This is for riders with some trail riding experience, if you're not sure if this is for you come on a Introductory Adventure Bike Experience First, the level of this ride is a step up from an Introductory Adventure Bike Experince so if you find that straight forward then this is for you.

What you'll need: Your own road legal motorbike, Adventure bikes (KTM 890 Adventure, Yamaha Tenere, Aprilia Tuareg, Royal Enfield Himalayan etc.) and Trail Bikes (Voge 300 Rally, Honda CRF 300 L/Rally, Yamaha WR250R, KTM 690 etc,) are welcome. As a rough guide we will be travelling over 120 miles each day on a variety of tracks  and twisting back roads with common features such as ruts, water crossings, mud, loose surfaces, climbs and descents. MotoFox is able to provide motorcycle hire on a Voge 300 Rally for some riders (subject to terms and conditions).

Your bike should be equipped with appropriate tyres we do not recomend anything less than a 50/50 style tread pattern (e.g. Continental TKC80, Michelin Anekee Wild, Anlas Capra X or Kenda Big Block are examples of the type of tyre that would be considered a minimum).

Your own appropriate PPE including ECE 22.05 or 22.06 rated helmet, appropriate armoured motorcycle clothing, motorcycle gloves, sturdy motorcycle or combat boots (high top or trainer style boots are not acceptable).

A change of clothes for the evening after the ride.

Trail Tools, Torch, Snacks, Drinks, Money for meals and refreshments.

Who this is not for: Aggressive or Fast riders, people looking to show off. Wannabe extreme enduro racers.

What not to Bring: Ego or a Bad Attitude, Your kitchen sink.
